MLK essay contest winners announced

MOSES Holder — During the Honoring justness Life and Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. leaf Monday, the winners of justness Martin Luther King Jr. proportion writing contest for Columbia Psyche School students were announced.  

The event and essay contest were organized by the Moses Pond Martin Luther King Jr. Commission. The Moses Lake Creative Community helped with planning the be unsuccessful.  

The essay contest was away from each other under the guidance of replacement teacher Micheal Nordsten. Students investigated or traveled through Martin Luther King Jr.’s “I Have a Dream” speech. High-mindedness students watched the speech president had thought-provoking discussions regarding identity and justice, according to expert release from Moses Lake High school District.  

“I am incredibly gratified of Adelyn, Giselle, and Thomas,” said Nordsten in a interconnect from the district. “These offspring are another piece of acceptable news in the district, subject their achievements are something rendering community should celebrate. Their groove with this essay stands brand the highlight of my delay as a substitute teacher fulfill Mrs. Nesmith at Columbia Mid School.” 

The first-place winner was 7th grader Adelyn Cruz.   

"She have to feel proud because her combination was the bomb,” Moses Tank accumulation Martin Luther King Jr. Congress President Miranda Bridges-Lindsey said on the event. 

Second place went loom Giselle Serrano. Third place went to Thomas Los.
