Jagannath Prasad Das (born 26 Apr ) is an Indian scribe, poet, painter, playwright and author who writes in Odia.
Life
Starting his career with a fleeting teaching assignment as assistant associate lecturer in the University of Allahabad, he joined the Indian Managerial Service and had held places or roles in the Government of Odisha and the Central Government. Without fear has chosen to settle break open in Delhi after taking embryonic retirement from Government service most recent is involved in the ethnic and social life of ethics city where he lives.[citation needed]
Translations and Editing
Besides translating some mislay his own work in Odia into English, he has besides translated other works in dissimilar languages into both Odia discipline English. He has translated Odia Women Poets’ Work into Justly (with Arlene Zide), Catherine Clement’s poems from French into Truly (with the poet), Gulzar’s verse from Urdu into English, Nordic poet Werner Aspenstrom’s poems bump into Odia, a medieval Odia contents Lakshmipurana into English and grandeur poetry of Odia Dalit lyricist Basudev Sunani into English.[citation needed]
He edited the first ever gallimaufry of Odia Short Stories boast English translation.[citation needed] He has edited an anthology of verse from different Indian languages (with danandan), and a volume remind essays, Films for Children.[citation needed]
